Transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 induces extracellular matrix deposition and
proliferation of mesenchymal cells. We recently reported that interleukin (IL)-6 is an essential
mediator of growth factor-induced proliferation of lung fibroblasts. Here, we demonstrate by
